Species: Canis lupus arctos x Canis lupus pambasileus (Arctic wolf x Yukon/Alaskan wolf) She is predominately an arctic wolf, her parents and grandparents being almost pure arctic wolves. However, a few generations prior, one of her predecessors bred with a yukon wolf (arguably one of the largest grey wolf subspecies) and the gene made a reappearance in her litter, giving her a height larger than that of other arctic wolves.

Pelt Colouration: Ayla's base coat is a pure, snow-white that flows uninterrupted across her whole body. Across the tips of her top coat across her neck, shoulders, back and rump is a silvery star-dust colour that is most visible in the moonlight and almost impossible to see in broad daylight. This gives her excellent snow cover.
Pelt Length: Ayla's coat is longer than the average wolf's, though not by an incredible amount. It is also rather silky, and despite it's sleek appearance, it is actually rather dense and thick, perfect for snowy conditions.
Eye Hue: Ayla has fire-like orbs that are a raw mixture of a molten gold, burnished amber and an almost reddish ochre that swirl together in such a pattern that one is almost convinced that they are balls of fire.
Markings: The only colour [aside from her 'stardust' covering] that interrupts the white of Ayla's pelt is a grey on her ears - it looks as though the tips have been dipped in ash, the darker colour then fading into the white.
Scars: Many, many scars blemish her otherwise smooth skin, though they are thoughroughly covered by fur.
Build: Ayla stands slightly taller than the average female of her age with quite a lithe build made of lean but powerful muscle. She has the skill and power to hold her own in a fight, but she is best in agility and running - more of your athletic warrior type as opposed to brutish defender.
Other Structural Items: Her legs are longer than a normal arctic wolf's, making her look even more lithe and slender.

Disposition:
If one were to describe Ayla in a word, it would be proud. Possessing a fiery heart and a fierce demeanour to match, many often mistake her for being naught but arrogant. This isn’t entirely the case though, for she can easily admit to respecting another wolf, though proving yourself to be worthy of her respect is an entirely different ball game. She isn’t necessarily a dominant wolf, but she is far from submissive, rarely [is ever] simply sitting down and letting another wolf tell her what to do for she likes to think of herself as her own boss. This can make her competitive at times, especially when it comes to proving herself to be more than just a petite and pretty she-wolf but rather a warrior in her own right.
This hard-shelled and bordering aggressive display is why few wolves [aside from her brother Logan] have ever bothered to hang around her for very long and as a result her social skills can seem a little rusty and her actions a little odd, for example, she may smile at something a wolf says or does one day, but rip their ear off for the next. In this way she is rather unpredictable and at times there seems to be no real pattern to her choices or actions, but once she grows more comfortable around a familiar group of wolves, she can become much more laid back and reliable. If you happen to hold yourself right, she may even come to the point where she calls you a ‘friend’, this happening only when she is thoroughly convinced you’re not a threat or complete thorn in her side, being very careful when it comes to getting close to others. Even though she is intelligent, if she does decide on someone she cares about [not that she’d ever admit it] she won’t always think when it comes to protecting them for she will put her life on the line to keep them safe without a seconds thought for her own safety, near-death experiences being a common part of her day-to-day life anyway. However, if a wolf were to do the same for her [risk their life to save hers], expect a harsh reprimanding for she believes she can take care of herself and can’t stomach the thought of another wolf dying in her place.
If this level of friendship is attained, don’t expect that she will completely change the way she acts though for her sharp tongue and excessive sarcasm are always by her side. She uses her words as weapons as frequently as her own jaws, being able to lie herself in or out of anything as surely as if she were saying the sun rises in the east. This frequent lying and common black humour means that no one actually knows what she is feeling or what she’s thinking and she will rarely ever let anyone know what is truly on her mind. In fact, when others think about it, they find they know very little about her or her past except for the pride-filled façade she hands to them on a silver platter. When questioned about this she is quick to divert the subject or will simply walk away. In this way, she refuses to get close to anyone and will often shy away from those who try and comfort her, readily snapping at any who dare feel sympathetic or generally too friendly towards her as she is so intent on remaining independent.
In short, Ayla is a puzzle of a wolf. She is proud, independent, fiery and sarcastic, but holds a deep-rooted sense of loyalty and protection for those few that earn her trust.
History: For Ayla, her history is quite a touchy subject and thus, few ever find out. All that most ever know is that it is shadowed and blood-stained, not a cheery topic, and that aspects of it have driven her to become fierce and warrior like, also feeling as though she has to prove herself. For those of you interested in her history, a brief outline is as follows: She was born to two young and very much in love wolves, Cadan and Lydia, and her first few months were in a happy atmosphere with two loving siblings, Logan and Keela. When she was but four months old she was forcefully taken from this happy environment by an order well-known for their brutality and feirceness. Her innocence was quickly lost as she was trained harder than most adult wolves ever are, forced to run until her paws bled, and then run some more. She was thrown into arenas with other pups twice her size and expected to win, trained hard and fast to be a warrior by the time she was eighteen months old. Manipulated by the order to believe her pack had turned against her, she returned and killed her father to prove her loyalty to them and from there she became a true member of the elite group of eight they had narrowed it down to. She was given the impression that she was powerful, trained to be heartless and without emotion, attacking on command and doing whatever she could to obey her commands. The pride they instilled in her won out though and she rebelled. Overwhelmed by the others she was disgraced and tossed out from the order, though she continued to live in the ways she had been trained for it was all she knew. One male wolf managed to thaw at least a little of her rock hard facade, but unfortunate events led to their separation and she was even more adamant in her belief that she should never get close to another.
Strengths: Her experience -- Ayla has had a lot of experience fighting and living life in the rough so almost nothing takes her by surprise and she can think clearly in most difficult situations. Her detachment from emotions -- some wouldn't consider this a strength but it is in her eyes for it means she can leave everything behind in the blink of an eye and not get too caught up in the deaths of others. She also thinks it means that she'll never get her feelings hurt as she won't let herself get too close to someone, but whether or not she is successful in this is another thing entirely. Her ability to take care of herself -- Ayla has no need to depend on anybody [as far as she's concerned] which means that she is fully capable of getting most jobs done herself which leads to her asking very little of others and almost no complaining.
Weaknesses: Lack of care for her own life -- though Ayla doesn't necessarily go out of her way to put herself in danger, she isn't always careful with her own life and sometimes [whether it is to benefit/save others or entertain herself] she can come close to loosing her life. Her pride -- many mistake it for arrogance and decide they dislike her before they get to know her. This also leads to her having a sharp and quick tongue, often saying things without thinking and provoking other wolves. Her secrecy -- in some sense it is a weakness as she is unwilling to share her thoughts and feelings with others so she doesn't get too close to them, which some consider unhealthy. Her independence -- after traveling on her own for so many years Ayla has grown used to a solitary life which means that she is often reluctant to befriend others or accept their help, even when she is in dire need of it.
Talents: - Her ability to lie without fault. - Ayla is also quite a stealthy wolf, with many years of training to keep her paw steps as silent as shadows and using her surroundings to her advantage - She is able to defend herself, being brought up as a warrior of sorts - She also has the knack of appearing intimidating, even to wolves that may be larger than her, because she is so proud and fiery.
Habits: - Her biggest habit is licking and cleaning her paws. Though she won't admit this to anyone, not even herself, it is an attempt to wash away the blood than has stained her paws a thousand times over, marks that only she can see that never seem to go away. - Flicking her ears back when confused or annoyed. - Saying something sarcastic when uncomfortable [though she uses sarcasm on many other occassions too]. - Shaking out her pelt when standing up [she got used to doing it when she lived in the north because of the snow and the habit never left]. - She will often find a perch (ie. boulder) to rest on that is higher off the ground than others

Crush(es): She would hardly stoop to fawning over someone and considering them a 'crush'. There has only ever been one exception to this rule - Callisto - though she would never admit to it.
Mate: No-one has been able to tame her fiery heart. Not to mention that the whole idea of tying oneself down seems utterly absurd to her.
OffSpring: She hates the idea of pups.
Sire: Cadan :: Died at the paws of his daughter, Ayla. Young and fit, he was a kind father, but despite his efforts Ayla's trainers managed to convince him he was a traitor.
Dam: Lydia :: Unknown status. Pretty and young, she was a soft and loving mother with not a cruel bone in her.
Siblings: Logan :: Status Unknown. Dusted with a layer of charcoal, he is a handsome young male and closest with Ayla as pups.
Keela :: Unknown status. As soft and caring as her mother, Keela was even more calm and caring than her sister as a pup.
Friends: Few and far between. You have to greatly impress her to find yourself with the honor of being listed here.
Enemies: Just about anyone who comes within an inch of her bad side, and that's not hard to do.
